Why it matters
The map is evidence—not the habitat
An authoritative dataset can still be incomplete for a particular site or decision. Boundaries may reflect different dates, scales and classification rules, while ecological transitions on the ground are often gradual or dynamic.
We review how datasets fit together, identify conflicts and gaps, and use spatial analysis to focus field investigation. Satellite imagery, time-series data, drone surveys and field observations can be integrated into the same project evidence framework.
Outputs are built for use: clear maps, traceable layers, repeatable calculations and notes that explain what can reasonably be concluded. Automated or AI-assisted analysis may support the work where appropriate, but it does not remove the need to verify sources, methods, assumptions and results.

Spatial precision should not be confused with ecological certainty. GIS can reveal patterns and relationships, but some classifications and causal interpretations require field validation and subject-matter expertise.

Can you work with an existing consultant GIS environment?
Yes. We can align outputs with supplied schemas, coordinate systems, symbology, file structures and quality requirements.
Can TALONYX work as a subcontractor?
Yes. We can work directly with a client or discreetly within an environmental consultancy or project team. Scope, branding, data custody and communication responsibilities can be agreed before mobilisation.
What information is needed for a quote?
A site location or boundary, the project question, timing, intended outputs, access constraints and any relevant survey, approval, treatment or reporting requirements.
Can outputs be supplied for GIS and reporting workflows?
Yes. Deliverables can be prepared for integration with project GIS, consultant analysis and reporting. Formats, coordinate reference systems, metadata and naming conventions are agreed at scoping.
Does TALONYX use AI or automated analysis?
Where it is suitable, automation and AI-assisted methods may help classify observations, identify patterns or accelerate quality checks. They are treated as analytical tools rather than conclusions: outputs remain subject to fit-for-purpose methods, source-data review, validation, documented limitations and human accountability.
